Tabata “Bottom to Bottom”  Squat

Run 1 mile

Clock starts for run on rising from last squat.

Bottom to Bottom Squat is a Tabata Squat but each rep starts at the bottom and ends at bottom.  Turnaround at top is immediate…not pausing.  The 10 second rest for each interval is also held at bottom of squat as opposed to top.  This squat, in contrast to “normal” Tabata Squat, motivates full hip extension.

    • thanks for filling us in! that looks pretty brutal! did you have to break it up at all or a little?

      • Dead lifts I broke up into 6/4 with just a quick second break in between to pace myself. Ring dips were definitely broken up. Box jumps were good first two rounds with no breaks because you can’t really fly trough them at that height. Last round of them I went 15/5.

Legs were dead! Thanks for the extra Ab work Beth!

  3. 8/10:38 running is not my strong suit

  4. I’m saying a zero for squats… cramped up in my quads and fell over, multiple times. mile time: 7:33 i think? this workout sucked.
I would rather do filthy fifty twice than do this again
